    In Limbo and on Facebook

Nothng exciting has really occurred in a while. I am somewhat in limbo with my training, definitely not being hard core yet! I go to Grande Prairie this week with my three girls who qualified for Provincials in gymnastics. It's the big meet, so wish them well!

And I am officially addicted to Facebook. Just what I need another hobby for ALL of this free time I have that should be spent sleeping!

    Back in the Game

So after a well-deserved week or so 'off' I am back to my contest-preparation phase. This time for Nationals 2007. I am 15 weeks and 3 days away (but who's counting) and I feel great about where I am at this point. My body needs more time than most people's and I don't want to diet to extremes, so luckily I am actually 'in shape' at the start of my contest prep - giving me plenty of time to lean out and downsize to where I want to be for Nationals.

March is an exciting month - in the gymnastics world, my girls have their Southern Alberta Championships in Red Deer this weekend where they will compete for a spot to go to the Provincial Championships in Grande Prairie at the end of the month. They are ready and I'm excited! Also - this Saturday is St. Patrick's Day and Sarah and I will be celebrating my Saturday cheat day in Red Deer with style (or whatever you want to call it) Should be good times!

What else??? I have some new pics up from the Arnold courtesy of Mel and her awesome camera. And my brother-in-law won A CAR on roll up the rim!!! All I win is more coffee!!!

And another important event in March - Blades of Glory starring Will Ferrell - March 30... need I say more?
    March 05

    Wow

I'm baaaack!!! What an absolutely FABULOUS weekend!!! It was an amazing experience - I competed on the Friday and was in the top 5 which was my goal - I was 5th, but top 5 nonetheless! Now as far as competitions go, I am back on board dieting and training for Nationals starting tomorrow - what an awesome point to be at to begin a diet!!!!  The entire weekend was so motivating and so 'in my element'. I think it confirmed that this is the world I am comfortable in and want to do more in. And Mel is an awesome and amazing friend and travel competitor too! It's great when organized people can travel together!

Briefly - here's a breakdown of how the weekend went (including the mishaps!)

Wednesday: Flew out - I was in the final days of dieting - probably really pleasant to be around.
Rented a car - best way to get around.
My Suitcase didn't come to Columbus - awesome, not stressed out at all...
                       Found a Wal-Mart Supercenter! I love Wal-Mart....
Discovered that they have almost 'Southern' accents in Ohio??? Who knew!

    Thursday: 1am - Here's my suitcase - thanks Columbus!
Went shopping at some Outlet Stores - the 'Guess' one was my favorite!
Checked in as a competitor - was excited about the venue and a 'rubber' floor for the routine!

Friday: Competition Day! Started with a meeting at 7am - was done all three rounds and awards by 1pm!
Placed 5th in Fitness Tall at the first Arnold Amateur Fitness Competition ever! Very Cool!
Showered!!! The hit Wendys - a Bacon Classic, Caesar Salad and some ice cream with M&Ms!!! Yummy!
Cruised the Expo with Mel - so much going on, really neat to see.
Went to the Figure and Fitness International Pro Show - Wow!!! Absolutely amazing women. First Pro Show I have seen live - the pricey tickets were well worth it!!!
Finished off the night with a bit of Red Wine and Dessert at the Hotel Lounge!

Saturday: I started the day with some cardio (really Martha - I'm not even lying! No hill running though!)
No IHOP in Ohio - but still commercials for Cinnastacks!!! Checked out the Waffle House Instead!
Went to the Expo bright and early - already a madhouse!
Mel was inches away from Arnold himself - she's sending me pics soon!
UFC 68 was in town tonight - adding to the crowds, we left when it was getting too crazy - and did some more shopping!!! Victoria's Secret!!! Woot woot!
Had a 'George Foreman Grill' cooked dinner back at the hotel - pretty healthy - chicken, mushrooms, and yams - then we completed it with Girl Guide cookies and Peanut Butter Cream Oreos!!!
Relaxed for a bit - then I hit the town - Columbus Style! Went to a bar dowtown, had fun, met some new people and partied into the early morning! Didn't lose my wallet either!

Sunday: Recovered with another Waffle House breakfast - this one was greasy and delicious!
Packed up and headed for the Airport.
Met the publisher of my favorite magazine 'Oxygen' Robert Kennedy, and covergirl Tosca Reno at the airport!
Got delayed - missed our flight in Toroto - caught the next one and made it home just after 11pm!

So that's that. I am so glad I went and got to see all of it. Definitely a worthwhile weekend!
